“BALTER LAGREIN”.

CLASSIFICATION: Lagrein I.G.T. Vallagarina

GROUND:  Hills of morainal origin, based on chalky rocks. Substantial amount of clay in a medium mixture weaving; a four-yearly organic fertilization is the sole natural operation made.

VARIETY: Lagrein – planted in 1991 – “Field n. 2” and “Field n. 5”- dimension m. 1,00 x 1,20 – Training system: Guyot – N. 8.300 stumps/Ha – 41.000 gems/Ha – South-facing

VINIFICATION:Separated harvest, due to slight differences in maturation’s periods. Soft de-stemming and vinification in little cases with daily foulage and delestage. Variable maturation timing (from 10 to 20 days) due to the variety and to the year. 6 months of maturation in French barriques. Then, bottles lie in the vinery until the end of the organoleptic panel.
